McLaren Unveil the Artura Spider, a Convertible Hybrid Supercar

A New Era of Open-Air Performance

McLaren Automotive has unveiled the Artura Spider, a convertible version of its high-performance hybrid supercar. The Artura Spider combines the exhilarating thrill of open-air driving with the power and efficiency of McLaren's groundbreaking hybrid technology.

Hybrid Powertrain and Performance

The Artura Spider boasts a hybrid powertrain that delivers a combined 671 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine is paired with an electric motor, providing instant acceleration and a thrilling driving experience. The Spider accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph (with the roof up).

Carbon Fiber Chassis and Lightweight Construction

Like the coupe version, the Artura Spider features McLaren's advanced McLaren Carbon Fiber Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). This lightweight and rigid chassis contributes to the car's exceptional handling and performance. Weighing in at just 3,303 lbs, the Artura Spider is one of the lightest hybrid supercars on the market.

Stylish and Functional Design

The Artura Spider's design is both stylish and functional. The convertible roof is a rigid-folding hardtop that can be retracted in just 15 seconds, even at speeds of up to 31 mph. The roof is designed to provide a panoramic view and enhances the open-air driving experience.

Pricing and Availability

The McLaren Artura Spider will go on sale in mid-2023, with prices starting at $273,800. It joins the coupe version of the Artura as the latest addition to McLaren's high-performance hybrid lineup.
