Exhibition Highlights the Interplay of Opera and Media in the 20th Century

To Be Displayed in Berlin from April 18 to May 16

Bertelsmann will present a multimedia exhibition on Giacomo Puccini, the beloved Italian opera composer, at its Berlin representative office from April 18 to May 16. The exhibition, titled "Opera Meets New Media," will showcase the interaction between opera and media in the early 20th century.

visitors will explore the close collaboration between Puccini and his publisher, Ricordi, and learn about the pivotal role new technologies, such as the phonograph and the radio, played in shaping the dissemination and appreciation of opera.

The exhibition will feature original documents, audio and video recordings, and interactive displays, offering an immersive experience for visitors.

The opening of the exhibition will be attended by over 100 notable guests from the worlds of culture, politics, business, and society.
